Defined as the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own health or the practice of taking an active role in protecting one's own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress. It seems more than ever people are talking about self-care including me! But as we are all individuals so is the form of self-care and truly what nourishes us as unique beings.
Self-Care Sunday is a term used quite a bit and rightly so as its an amazing way of working on caring for YOU and a great way to prep for a busy week ahead. Whether its Sunday, Monday, Tuesday any day is a great day to show yourself some appreciation.
These days with many people working from home in addition to so many other responsibilities things can get a little tough to say the least. Boy do I know that! I don't always wait for the weekend for a little self-care, some days its taking a break and just going outside for a breath of fresh air, a cuppa tea with some favourite music, cooking a favourite meal, or a relaxing foot soak before bedtime. Today I gave myself the freedom to watch two movies as a way of caring for me. Whatever it is you choose its for you!

We know that everyone doesn't have time to take a relaxing bath with music playing and candle burning (let's be honest those of you with children can barely get 5 minutes in the washroom alone) Hopefully some of the ideas listed in Sara's post will assist with some creativity even if its starts with 10 minutes.
